SPANISH STRING BEANS

From the same cookbook, another family favorite dish

2# of string beans

2 medium onions

2 tablespoons of butter

2 cups stewed tomatoes

1 diced green pepper

1 teaspoon of salt

2 teaspoons of sugar

tied to together  in a cheese cloth bag 2 whole cloves and 1 bay leaf

Cook until the beans are done. Remove spices and serve.
