If we wee having coffee/tea, I would share with you the news the county has decided to finnaly banned Fireworks outside of the city limits. It has been a long time coming. Before WORLD WAR 2, the 3rd and 4th was a major holiday. Idaho became a state on July 3rd 1890.

Happy early birthday! Ice Cream cake definitely sounds like a great way to celebrate. We’ve had lovely weather here too and quite a few birds. There must be a cardinal and a blue jay nest nearby because those two are always at my feeder. I like fireworks myself but I know that not everyone does. Our town has a big display each July 4th as well as a parade. Enjoy your week.🎂

Wow Betty Louise, I must say blogging at 85 is an amazing thing! ❤ I haven't had ice cream cake for ages but it's so good, especially in summer. I hope for the best for your docs appointment. Here in Finland we cannot fire fireworks except on New Years. And even then only after 6 pm on New Years Eve. If you have a huge birthday bash and want to finish it with fireworks, then you will have to try to apply for a special permit to do so. And you might not get it! xx
