DEATH OF A PUMPKIN CARVER By Lee Hollis

A quick easy read of the of the Food and Cocktail series set in New England area. Hayley is a food editor for the Island Time newspaper. It’s Halloween time and there are a lot of pumpkins and parties around. Hayley is dismayed to find expertly carved pumpkins on her front porch. Immediately she knew her ex-husband was around to visit. Danny’s charm is hard to resist and he wants to get back with Hayley. She does not trust him. Shortly after his arrival, Danny’s drunken Uncle is found dead in the cemetery. Uncle Ortis was murdered. At this time the story changes to family affairs. The ending surprised me as I didn’t have a clue. There are seven pumpkins recipes. I recommend this book for light reading.

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Kensington Books through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions expressed are my own.
