If we were having coffee/tea, I would tell you to come inside out the wind. Let you select your your drink treat. There are pumpkin muffins for the game this afternoon when Boise State meets Oregon State. The weather has changed this week. A storm is passing through bringing rain and strong winds. On my walks around the area you see the leaves are starting to changed. Yellow is the predominant leaf color right now. Yesterday we went breakfast and stopped at our pharmacy for flu and pneumonia shots.
One of mine of Boise is the Union Pacific Train Depot. It stood outside of the city limits looking down Capital Blvd toward the state capitol. I remember the trains passing through Boise carrying the Japanese at night. Both the Freedom and Friendship trains stopped at the Boise Depot. The Freedom Train was to remind Americans of the horrors of war. The Friendship train collected food to send to France and Itlay after World Two. Today the Depot is no longer in used and the deport is in the center of Boise. It still looks down Capitol Blvd, but many other buildings now dwarfed the capitol. The depot now belongs to the city parks and recreation department. The golden blocks were sold to buy the depot.
There is family history for me as my paternal grandfather’s nurseysupplied the plants for the original garden. I board the CITY OF LOS ANGELS in 1953 to take me to Chicago to complete my training as a lab technician. This was my first trip out of Idaho.
If we were having coffee/tea, I would sure my feeling about my blog. This week I reached 450 followers and 46 additional at Tumblr.
A BIG THANK YOU TO MY FOLLOWERS, VIEWS, LIKES, AND COMMENTS. It made my day and brought on a smile. This blog was an accident and laid dormant for awhile. I decided to learned to use it and enrolled in BLOGGING 101 which later became BLOGGING UNIVERSITY. I made friends and learned how to use the Internet now. I have using the Internet since 1985 when I got my first computer. I preceded to wipe DOS off it the first week. Later one of my brothers and a nephew convinced me to format the hard drive. I am glad I did it as it taught me a lot. The most important thing was if you had a backup, you could recreate most things.
