If we were having coffee/tea, I would invite you in. Select your drink and treat and Kato will leads us out to patio to enjoy the sunny day. The flowering pear trees are in bloom as the the Oregon grape is putton a show.Kato and Bob have their walk every day this week. There is a sharp-hawk chasing the sparrows and finches for his breakfast. If we are lucky he wiil put on a show for us. It is going to be another 80 degrees Fahrenheit again. There is a high stalled over the Pacific northwest bringing hotter than usual temperatures. The irritation water has been turned on and has reached us so the canals and ditchs have water in them. The Boise River is high to accommodate all the snow and rain we have had in the past months.
If we were having coffee/tea, I would tell you that I have my Better Homes Garden 1950 cookbook out to remain to add the oatmeal cookies recipe to my blog this week. This has been a fairly busy week for me. One day Alita and I went grocery shopping. The flowering pear trees are out with blooming every, the flowering cherry trees are almost in full bloom. The Hawthorne will add it dark read color later. The various shades of green and red leaves added their colors making the drive interesting. We stopped at the pet store to get Kato some food . Everywhere they had Β look for our lower prices. Kato’s food had gone up 20Β’ a can and the tree I have been wanting to buy is now over $100.00. I didn’t see any lower a prices. Someone wanu to see the pear in morning light. Here is one taken in bright light and a close up of the flowers. Next is a flowering cherry tree.

Betty Louise, I’m sitting in Ohio, where it’s snowing big ragged flakes, enjoying your lovely pictures!
I like the new WordPress mobile very well when it works. We got a other warming that river was dangerous a d to stay out it. The down town area would be flood now with out the dams on it. I remember the floods growing up.
Stunning photos.
Thanks
I will be back for the cookies.
They are GF chocolate chips
I’ll trade some heat for some cool – it’s been a cold week on the east coast. 10 degrees – you can have 70s and put us into the 50s….
Yes, that would be great.
Bettylouise31 I love your trees. It is to bad that Kato’s food went up. I am glad you were able to get all of your books read π
I suspect the price might come down.
Oh you’re a darling! Your remembered somebody wanted to see the tree in full bloom and morning light. They look stunning, and yours truly is delighted. π
Well, sometime you could try giving Kato a taste of home food rather than those cans. Here in India, we give them steamed rice with some milk in a bowl, and they love it. Plus it wouldn’t be as expensive. Or you could even replace crumbled bread for rice. I am sure he will purr after that meal.
Please the trees gave pleasure. Thanks for the comment
Your flowering trees are beautiful-our Magnolias have started to bloom here. Enjoy the day! π
The magnolias bloom early here.
Thanks for the comment
What beautiful trees! I think that’s the first time I’ve ever actually seen a pear tree – I’ve never realised they were so beautiful! It has also been ridiculously hot here in Indonesia (more so than usual). It seems it’s getting hotter every where around the world these days. I hope it cools down soon π
They are called flowering trees as there is no fruit. The cherry trees are just coming into bloom.
Wonderful!
What beautiful flowering trees, it must be great being able to see those during your days. Thanks for sharing.
The flowers are almost gone and the trees are leafing out.
So they are only spring flowers?
All the flowering trees have no fruit and leave very little mess on the ground needing cleanup.
That’s fortunate that they don’t leave a big mess. Beauty and minimal mess, good combination.
I love reading and cannot imagine life without books. Thank you.
Books will ake yu many places.
Betty Louise your blossom trees are beautiful. Sounds like you had a very productive week. The only price I have seen go down in many years is petrol. Hope you have a good week.
